Air Mobile deployed Voyagers in Beaumont and Orange, Texas! Mission Accomplished!!

Report Submitted by Joe Hurston - Sept. 27, 2005, 12:28pm - Homeward Bound on I-10 - somewhere in North Florida

Sept. 26, 2005 was an incredible day for the Air Mobile Team. The day began in the Parking lot of the Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. You can well imagine the "state" of operations after a major disaster such as Rita. The Baptist Hospital was doing an excellent job taking care of patients under the circumstances. We walked through the front door, ran right into the Chaplain for the Hospital, Chaplain Cross (appropriately named). Within moments we we were talking to the right people. A major problem in the Hospital was that the city water, though restored, was incredibly contaminated. We went straight to the Kitchen directed by Chef Jones. Within minutes, the Vortex Voyager TM was purifying the city water and food was being prepared for a staff of hundreds who were focused on the job of restoring hospital operation. Chef Kevin Jones was a pleasure to train.

He completely grasped and appreciated the Vortex Voyager TM. The Baptist Hospital was very, very thankful for this timely gift.

From Beaumont, we picked our way through the debris, passed under powerlines held up with 2x4's by very helpful local police, witnessed destruction everywhere and headed toward Orange, Texas.
By the way, both the President and other major news agencies, i.e. Fox, ABC, etc. were either following us or we were following them. We often arrived together at the scene. The Air Mobile Bounder was right at the front lines throughout this journey. I'll tell you, it's not an easy thing to gain access into these disaster areas. Each time we were stopped and questioned, I flashed the Air Mobile business card and stated we had water purification systems. Wooosh, right through every obstacle. The Vortex Voyager TM is such a power tool and "door opener"!

The President's motorcade followed us into Orange, Texas. We went straight to the Command Center set up at the Baptist Hospital and there we met two phenomenal ministries, RAPID HOPE and STR8WAY (Straightway)MINISTRIES.

It only took a short time for Air Mobile and these 2 precious ministries to link up. The directors of both ministries INSTANTLY grasped the strength and capability of the Vortex Voyager TM. Both were on the front lines, Texas based and doing the work of the Lord with excellence. After extensive training, it was the distinct joy and privilege for Air Mobile Ministries to present a Vortex Voyager TM to each of these precious ministries.

Air Mobile successfully deployed 10 Vortex Voyagers TM on this mission that began on Sept. 18. These Vortex Voyagers TM are working in Biloxi, Houston/Galveston, Beaumont and Orange Texas. These are the areas hard hit by both Hurricane Katrina and Rita.

Now, we're "Homeward Bound". The Air Mobile Team of my wife, Cindy, 16 year old daughter Angelica, 8 year old son, Peter and me, beat up and tired are heading home. This has been a grueling journey. We faced many obstacles, a few harrowing moments as we chased Rita until she turned east and we dashed south to Beaumont. Thank God, I am recovering from Shingles. By the way, I believe that Shingles is what Job had. What a dreadful disease. Much prayer and good medication do wonders! Cindy who is a Registered Nurse took excellent care of me.

I want to say here just how proud I am of my family who traveled with joy, courage and great ability. My family back at the home base, Christian and Cherie truly did an excellent support job for our mission. The entire Air Mobile and Cartridge Source of America staff deserve a huge bravo and a heartfelt thanks from me personally!!

All of you have stayed with us in prayer and love and support. We just can't thank our precious Lord Jesus enough for you!!

We're already planning to make a flight into Haiti to deliver 20 Vortex Voyagers TM. We are believing our Lord for a ministry aircraft. The disasters are coming hard and fast and Air Mobile must deploy rapidly. Please remember to pray for the Lord to provide the right aircraft for the missions ahead.

Never hesitate to contact us. God Bless! Until next report....
