AIR MOBILE - PLANNING RETURN TRIP TO KATRINA DISASTER AREA!

Report submitted by Joe Hurston - Titusville, FL Sept. 14, 2005 9:29am

Was up early this morning (4:30am) checking on the movement of Hurricane Ophelia that is just meandering off the coast of the Carolina's; still a level one. We are watching Ophelia very carefully. Then the e-mail from Barbara Walker, now in Haiti, made it to my "In-box". Dr. Clark is manning a clinic on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and desperately needs help. Barbara has known Dr. Clark for a number of years as he has worked with her extensively in Haiti. After prayerful consideration, Cindy and I, along with two of our children, Angelica and Peter will be heading back to the Gulf Coast this weekend. Barbara Walker is working on our next deployment into Haiti, but she will come in and join us on this mission.

This time we'll carry a "Six Pack" of Voyagers TM (6 Vortex Voyagers TM with 6 Power Packs). We'll go in our motor home that has already been equipped with an on-board Vortex. The RV will allow us to be completely self-contained and not a burden on our hosts.

Personally, I can hardly wait to get back to do serious analysis on the water situation. On our last visit there, our water tester (tests salinity) malfunctioned. I was unable to test the salt content. These tests will give us invaluable information about the affects and longevity of salt water in the "fresh" water supply. We will also be filming much of what we do and actually work on making a first-class training video of the Vortex Voyager TM operation.

We have a number of connections with local churches and will be checking on the needs with them. As people begin to return to their homes, the true water situation will come to light. Many areas have some level of restored water, but the "Boil Water" alerts could be in place for months to come. This is an excellent situation for the Vortex Voyager TM.

We plan to tow a trailer with donated supplies with us. If you are in our local area, Central Florida, please pray about bringing any donated items you might want to go into the region. Do not bring WATER! We will pump plenty of clean water from fresh water sources there. If you are not in this area and would like us to purchase supplies in your behalf, simply designate that on your gift.

As you know, we'll keep you up to date via our website "running journal". We're planning to depart on Sunday (9-17-05) morning and will be there until Wednesday (9-22-05) evening. We're praying that Barbara Walker will get a seat out of Haiti. Barbara is an invaluable member of our team.

Oh well, we were hoping to have a little more time between our trips out, but it wasn't meant to be for now.

We really, really appreciate you all. God Bless and stay in touch!
